NAME ORIGIN
Her father named her Jutta because he was a fan of German windsurfer Jutta Muller. "I got the name because my dad used to surf. There was a girl who won a lot and her name is Jutta Muller. A lot of male surfers were impressed by her. She was blonde and my dad thought, 'If I have a blonde daughter, I will name her Jutta'."

With her long blonde locks and winged eyeliner, Jutta Leerdam is an indispensable part of the skating rink. She qualified for the Winter Olympics and won silver there at the beginning of this year. But she not only achieves successes on the skating rink, we list everything for you.

Skating was not her first love, as Jutta spent a large part of her childhood on the hockey field. When she was 11 years old she traded her hockey stick for a pair of skates and her nickname became 'Bommetje'.

Jutta has impressively won the gold medal in the 1000 meters at the World Championship distances in Thialf on 4 march 2023. With a time of 1.13.03, the 24-year-old Dutchman was the fastest in front of her own audience and, after 2020, grabbed her second world title in the kilometer.

Jutta's sisters apparently inherited the 'handsome' genes as well. Jutta has an older and younger sister. It concerns Merel and Beaudine.

As a 15-year-old, she already wrote down that her goal was to become an Olympic champion. Something that has not worked so far, but her father is convinced that it will happen in 2026. Ruud is very proud of Jutta's achievements, but also of the role model she is for young skaters. When Jutta skates a competition, they prefer to be there with the whole family. And if this is not possible, they are glued to the tube and nothing or no one is allowed to disturb them.
